I was looking for an alternative to Apple's Front Row, which allowed me greater flexibility to deal with a greater diversity of media sources, including those online.

Video Library
DVDs
I am using RipIt to rip DVDs into digital files, which are store on Callies Media External Hard Drive --> Movies folder --> DVDs folder.
Adding DVDs to Videos and Movies
- Go to the Video section,
- Scroll to the bottom of your video sources to the last item, Add Source,
- Browse through the file system and select the folder containing your DVD files,
- Name the source DVDs
- Select the Set Content option
- Set it to Movies and use IMDB as the scraping source
- Turn on the following options:
- Run Automated Scan
- Use Folder Names for Lookups
- Folder Contains a Single Video
- Turn off the following options:
- Scan Recursively
- Hit OK.
Now your DVDs will be added to Videos and Movies
